The anti-nutrition of Xylanase

Xylanase is contained commonly in a variety of feed materials, like wheat, rye, rye-wheat, corn, soybean meal, etc. It causes a high viscosity in the intestinal tract, which prevents the digestive absorption of protein and fat.

 

Definition of content

One unit of Xylanase activity is defined as the amount of enzyme that liberates 1 micromole of reducing sugar per minute from 5.0 mg/ml of Xylanase at pH 5.5 and 37 degrees centigrade.

 

Function

(1) Degrade Xylanase, reduce the viscosity of chyme in the intestinal tract.

(2) Break down the structure of the cell wall and eliminate the anti-nutritional factors, thus improving the digestion efficiency of nutrient substance.

(3) Improve the metabolic energy of feed, lower feed cost and improve feed quality.

(4) Generate a large amount of xylo-oligosaccharides, improve the intestinal microflora, and benefit animal health.
